“Bachelor’s Vegetable Store” is based on
the true story of Lee Young Suk who started selling vegetable at a small store
in 1998 and now owns 33 vegetable stores nationwide. A book was published in
2003, and now the story takes to the screen.
Han Tae Yang (Ji Chang Wook) often goes to
the tradisional market with his younger sister, Han Tae In (Lee Se Young), and
picks up discarded vegetables to take home. One day, some of his classmates
learn of Tae-Yang and Jin-Shim (Wang Ji Hye) situasion. When students start to
tease him about his poor situasion, Jin-Shim kisses Tae-Yang. Jin-Shim tells
him that she kissed him because the kids
will think of the kiss rather than about his poor background. Tae-Yang is
filled with happiness then he decides to buy Jin-Shim a present. To make money,
he starts selling vegetables in the street. His younger sister, Tae-In, helps
him.
a few years latter, Ga On, acted by Jin Shim, wanted to work herself, not with her father. she met Tae-Yang, her old bestfriend, and fall in love with him. This bring alot of problem that they need to solve together.
